Mariko expressions

I have to get used to drawing my characters and explore their expressions. I have to somehow maintain a likeness so that I don't tweak their faces too far where it just begins to loose recognition or become inconsistent. That's the real challenge for me. I want to capture how they feel but at the same time I don't want my drawings to be too sloppy either. It's a fine line for me.
